Wherever this Privacy Statement ("Statement") refers to "we" or "us", we are referring to BlackRock Asset Management Australia Limited ABN 33 001 804 566, AFSL 225 398 and its US affiliated company, BlackRock Institutional Trust Company, N.A. BlackRock Asset Management Australia Limited is the local agent and intermediary for iShares (iShares, Inc. ARBN 125 632 279 formed in Maryland, USA; iShares Trust ARBN 125 632 411 organised in Delaware, USA. The liability of shareholders is limited.)
Purpose
This Statement applies to any information including information that: 1. is collected and shared between us and the share registry provider; 2. is collected by and shared between us and an affiliated company; 3. is provided to us through our marketing and advertising activities; and 4. visitors may provide, or we collect, while visiting this iShares Australian website ("Website").

We are a global company. Information collected by and/or shared between us and a BlackRock affiliate maybe stored in technology systems and databases located in different jurisdictions including Australia.
1. SHAREHOLDER INFORMATION
The registrar
Computershare Investors Services Pty Limited ("Computershare") has been contracted by BlackRock Asset Management Australia Limited to provide various registry services (e.g. processing distribution payments) in connection with the iShares exchange traded funds traded on the Australian Securities Exchange ("ASX"). When you become a shareholder in an iShares fund, personal information about you will be collected. The collection of such information enables Computershare to perform its role as the registry services provider. Computershare may disclose this information to us upon reasonable request as part of our continual efforts to update and enhance the products and services we provide to our investors.
To whom we may provide personal information
We may provide shareholder personal information with our US affiliate, and to certain third parties we may contract to help us market, provide and improve our products and services, and as required by law or in connection with legal proceedings. Similarly, our other service providers may, as part of their obligations to us, provide us personal information which you may provide them.

2. PERSONAL INFORMATION PROVIDED SHARED WITH AN AFFILIATE
